Air Becomes Ears, Ears Become Eyes (2020)
This is a participatory performance where audiences experience vibrations in the space through objects, transferring them to their own bodies. It explores multi-sensory ways of perceiving, such as hearing the unseen and feeling the inaudible, moving beyond unified sensory perception.
How can three-dimensional sensory experiences emerge from interactive, non-linear engagements?
In this performance, a performer is centered, surrounded by four audience members. Together, they observe the slight trembling of tissue paper on their hands, sensing inaudible vibrations present in the space. Walking through the gallery with the performer, the audience collectively breathes and gathers the sensations of vibrations existing in various forms within the space. Through this performance, participants are invited to observe phenomena from new sensory perspectives, experiencing the boundaries between the material and the immaterial.
