All about Memory (2018)
All About Memory is a project that began with a question posed in a conversation between jazz bassist Ehud Ettun and Jung Ji Hye. It explores concepts of Nature - Anti-Nature, examining how dance and music are conventionally defined within this framework and how they relate to our daily lives.T
he project’s structure follows Nature - Anti-Nature - Nature, examining how dance and music originate naturally or spontaneously. It also considers where individuals define the starting points and boundaries of music and dance. Initial research used personal interpretations to explore how these elements transition into an anti-natural structure, and then paradoxically revert back to a natural form.
Initially, there was an attempt to set clear boundaries for these concepts, yet the research ultimately revealed their continual transformation through interaction, resisting rigid definition. The performance presents this ongoing, fluid state to the audience, prompting reflection and inviting open-ended questions.
